Jesse James And Kat Von D Engaged!

Bad boy Jesse James is officially engaged to his tattooed girlfriend Kat Von D, and he couldn’t be happier, RadarOnline.com has learned.

“You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend,” James told People.com, who were first to report the news.

“An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs. I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said ‘yes.’ Growing old with her is going to be a f**king blast!”

The West Coast Choppers star split with ex-wife Sandra Bullock in the spring of 2010, after it was publicly revealed he'd been cheating on the Oscar-winner. He finalized his divorce with Bullock during the summer, and promptly relocated from Southern California to Austin, Texas.

"There is no one else for me. He's the one," Von D, 28, said.

The L.A. Ink star is unclear where the couple will call home saying, “Having two places we call home will be good for now. In the end, home is where the heart is, and my heart's with him."
