Lisa Ling returned to The View Friday and opened up about her miscarriage this past summer, saying she "felt more like a failure than I'd felt in a very long time."

The 37-year-old journalist said she'd had an uneventful pregnancy until seven weeks in, when she and her husband, Dr. Paul Song, received the horrible news of the miscarriage.
"We actually hadn't been trying that long," she said. "I don't know that I took it as seriously as I should have because it happened so fast.
"But then when I heard the doctor say there was no heartbeat it was like bam, like a knife through the heart," Ling said, admitting it left her "devastated."
Ling, trying to get something positive out of the experience, said she's started a Web site named secretsocietyofwomen.com for women to communicate about issues they might be afraid or embarrassed to discuss otherwise.
