The 28-year-old Love & Other Drugs star was introduced to a screeching ovation from the kiddies, who were even more excited when they learned the big announcement she'd come to pass on: that the kids were headed to Los Angeles to perform at 83rd Academy Awards in February.

"I'm here to officially invite you guys to Hollywood!," the brunette beauty told the screaming tots.

Hathaway's co-host for the event is James Franco. The show's producers, Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer said the duo -- the first people younger than 40 to ever host the top event in show business-- "personify the next generation of Hollywood icons -- fresh, exciting and multi-talented.”

The show is slated to take place on Sunday, February 27, 2011.
