It was just one year ago the word 'Snooki' was only thought of as an endearing term for a loved one, but today it's a household name thanks to MTV's Jersey Shore.

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi -- the wild, pint-sized reality star from MTV's hit show -- celebrated her 23rd birthday party at Pacha night club in New York City recently, and RadarOnline.com has obtained exclusive video of Snooki announcing her newly found fame.

Snooki leans into the video camera and proclaims: "I'm famous now!"

In our exclusive video, "Snooki" is surrounded by bodyguards in a massive crowd of fans as she dances with a full drink in her hand.

Many of the onlookers have pulled out their camera phones and are reaching them high above the crowd in an attempt to get the best shot possible of the new star.

Next to the "Snooki," Sean Kingston is singing to the crowd with blasting music in the background and whizzing strobe lights. While Snooki is swaying to the music, she's joined by her BFF Jenni Farley AKA J-Woww and new cast mate, Deena Cortese.

For the big birthday night, the pint-sized reality TV star stepped out of her normal Ed Hardy wear and into her tiara and white feathery dress.

But other than a change of digs, it seems like any other night at the shore and that's how "Snooki"  -- this one time unknown girl -- got so famous.
