Last Sunday, Dog and his wife Beth were in Denver campaigning for their friend, Tom Tancredo, a third party candidate for governor of Colorado.  The Chapmans own property in Colorado.

On Thursday, the couple was spotted having lunch in Malibu, where an eyewitness tells Dog appeared to be happy and healthy as he sat with his arms around Beth.

But by Saturday, the injured muscle was so inflamed that Dog needed to go to the emergency room; his knee was extremely swollen.
