Christina Aguilera & Husband Split

Pop superstar Christina Aguilera has split from her husband Jordan Bratman.

Aguilera, 29, and Bratman, 33, a record producer, fifth wedding anniversary is November 19. Aguilera opened up about the sad news with the following statement:  "Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever."

A close source to the pair tells ET they are trying to work things through but are living separate lives.

The couple's son, Max, was born in January, 2008.

Christina and Jordan went to Italy in August, hoping the trip would strengthen the marriage, a source told RadarOnline.com.

Extra is reporting that the split is not a legal separation but there is trouble in the marriage.

Meanwhile Us Weekly quotes a source saying: “They were very much in love.“But over the last six months, it ­became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.”

As of several years ago Aguilera was worth more than $60 million, according to Forbes.
