After a day in which she was relentlessly roasted by media pundits for her efforts hosting the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, Chelsea Handler answered her critics on Monday’s edition of Chelsea Lately with a short and sweet message: "F **k off."

The blonde bombshell began her show by focusing on the positive: the show's great ratings, as its 11.4 million viewers were the most MTV's had for any program in the past eight years.

Reviewers were not so kind, however, as they widely panned Handler for her raunchy shtick.

The New York Times claimed Handler "was among the worst in show's history -- purposefully out-of-touch, with brief, alarming flashes of off-color racial humor," while The Washington Post said she delivered "a string of flat punch lines that felt a few degrees below crass."

After trading barbs with blogger Perez Hilton on Twitter, the 35-year-old comic let it all hang out on her TV show.

"I has a really great time last night," The E! personality said. "And for anyone who thinks I didn't do a good job, f **k off."
