Jersey Shore’s Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola is bouncing back after losing her number one pal; her dog Abby.

The reality star vented her woes on her Twitter page and RadarOnline.com learned she was devastated by the death of her pooch.

“I had to put my dog to sleep,” Sammi wrote on her Twitter account on September 24th.

“Worst day of my life. RIP Abby, I love you so much!”

A good friend of the Jersey Shore starlet told RadarOnline.com, “She’s been deeply sad about her dog dying.

“She really loved Abby, but she’s bouncing back; she’s playing soccer again to keep her mind off things and getting in shape.”

In fact, Sammi tweeted on Tuesday, “off to play soccer,” and appeared to be in better spirits, talking about her favorite football team the New York Jets and how much she couldn’t wait for the new episode of Jersey Shore.

Her upbeat mood could have something to do with her main squeeze and fellow reality-TV star, Ronnie Magro.
