Martin Short’s beloved wife Nancy died after a long battle with cancer and did not want a funeral, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

A source close to the family tells RadarOnline.com that Nancy Dolman, 58, chose to keep her health problems quiet. According to the insider, there will be no funeral service for the actor’s wife per her own wishes.

Nancy was diagnosed with cancer in 2007 when doctors discovered a growth in her left groin area. She then underwent surgery. In March, Martin was spotted heading into a room on the eighth floor of Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Nancy passed away at the family home in Pacific Palisades, Calif., on Saturday. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical emergency call at the Shorts’ address at 8:30 a.m. They were on the scene for approximately thirty minutes but did not transport anyone to the hospital. It is believed that Nancy died at the house.

The tragedy strikes as Short’s work in Damages is celebrated. He has been nominated for an Emmy in the Best Supporting Actor for a Drama category. The awards show is Sunday in Los Angeles.
