Kate Gosselin needs to send Ryan Seacrest a Thank You note.

On his KIIS-FM radio show Wednesday morning, Ryan went to the top to find out if execs would ever consider having the mom of eight as the next Bachelorette, and RadarOnline.com has the details.

The creator of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette franchises, Mike Fleiss, told Ryan, “I guess it’s kinda interesting. I’ve never thought about it.” He says he’s never even spoken to the reality star—but then he gave it some thought, “Seriously, It would have to be a special edition of the Bachelorettte—I wouldn’t want to jump the shark.”

Ryan then got ABC President Steve McPherson on the phone, who said “that could be great!” He went on to say “she was great on Dancing (With The Stars).”

The top exec turned the tables on Ryan and made him an offer, “I would like to officially extend an invitation for you Ryan to be the next Bachelor.”

Ryan was coy with McPherson, but later told his sidekick Ellen K, “I don’t have the time…I have a contract with Fox.”
