Even while in the middle of Hollywood’s biggest scandal, kind-hearted Sandra Bullock reached out the ex-wife of her cheating husband Jesse James, a source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.
Sandra had two conversations with Janine Lindemulder about the welfare of Janine and Jesse’s daughter Sunny, the source revealed.
Lindemulder is about to be released from a federal half-way home in Oregon for tax evasion and the battle for Sunny is heating up as she seeks to re-establish her 50-50 custody rights with the 7-year-old.
“Sandra phoned Janine twice while she was in the half-way home to talk about Sunny after the scandals broke,” the source told RadarOnline.com.
“Obviously, these were very emotional conversations but both women tried to put their differences aside for the sake of Sunny.
“Janine felt that overall Sandra had her daughter’s best interests at heart and she was grateful that she looked after her while she was in the half-way home.”

The Oscar-winning actress had previously sided with James in his court battle with Lindemulder, writing to the court and contending Lindemulder was unfit and exposing Sunny to unsavory characters. And Bullock has said she wants to remain a part of Sunny’s life even though she split with Jesse, who confessed his cheating on a recent ABC Nightline interview.
Lindemulder is now heading to court to fight for her custody rights and has made contact with James to see if they can resolve the situation amicably. That question remains unanswered.
Lindemulder, a former porn actress, had no idea that Sandra had secretly adopted a baby boy. The source said that despite previously being on opposite sides concerning Sunny, Lindemulder has no bad feelings toward Bullock. She’s now focused on getting access to her daughter.
“At the end of the day Sunny is her daughter and she wants to re-establish her rights with regard to that,” the source told RadarOnline.com.
Lindemulder is due to be released from her federal half-way house in Oregon on Friday, June 4 and plans to move closer to Sunny in California with her husband Jeremy Aikman.
