Mexico's top prosecutor is taking over the Bruce Beresford -Redman case in a bid to secure his extradition, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

The murder case against the ex-Survivor producer has been transferred from Cancun, where the murder occurred, to Mexico City.
In the meantime, the reality show producer has returned to his Rancho Palos Verdes home in the Los Angeles area and is trying to get on with a normal life.
An arrest warrant looms over his head. He’s accused of killing his wife Monica in the vacation city and then dumping her body in a sewer.

Beresford-Redman has retained high-powered attorney Richard Hirsch in Los Angeles, and attorneys in Mexico who have ties to former Mexican president Carlos Salinas de Gortari.
