The funeral and burial for beloved coach John Wooden took place Friday in Los Angeles, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
Family and friends gathered at Forest Lawn's Old North Church in Hollywood at 2:30 pm.
Wooden was then interred in the Courts of Remembrance, which is also the final resting place for his late wife.
Countless members of the Wooden family -- including the Coach's grand nieces and nephews -- had been expected to attend. So were some of his former UCLA players including Kenny Washington and Mike Warren, and author Steve Jamison who collaborated on five best-selling books with Wooden.
In a service attended mostly by extended family and invited guests, Wooden's century of dedication to the life principles and faith which made him a man of character and an example to others was highlighted, as were cherished moments enjoyed from children down to great grand nieces and nephews.
Dudley Rutherford was the pastor and Deirdre Rogers sang Galway Bay and His Eye is on the Sparrow.
