Janine Lindemulder’s mother has blasted her former son-in-law Jesse James as "sick and insecure" for not allowing his daughter Sunny to see her mom during her first weekend of freedom, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Sunny’s grandmother, Jonlyn Jeter, is seething mad at James for not letting Janine spend the weekend with the seven-year-old after Janine was released from a federal half-way house in Oregon for tax evasion on Friday.

And while Sandra Bullock stepped back into the limelight over the weekend by attending both the Spike TV awards and MTV Movie awards, Lindemulder was left broken hearted after jetting back to California to spend time with Sunny.

Jonlyn Jeter exclusively told RadarOnline.com, “Jesse was probably just trying to impress Sandra Bullock because she was back in town. He’s using Sunny as a pawn to try and get back with her.

“What Jesse did was cruel, very cruel, but we shouldn’t be surprised because he’s a complete control freak.

“He was demanding more drug tests from Janine when she has tested clean every time – the latest test was just two days before she was released.

“My daughter has not seen Sunny since the end of January yet Jesse denied them being re-united over the weekend.

“He’s a very sick and insecure individual and does not really care what is best for Sunny in my opinion.

“Despite what was said in court Janine is a good mother towards her daughter and she just wants to be a parent again.

“In his mind everybody is expendable including his own family and friends. I haven’t seen Sunny myself in over a year.

“Janine has always said that she was grateful to Sandra Bullock for looking after her daughter,  but at the end of the day she’s her mother and nothing can change that.

“Hopefully, the judge will see through Jesse’s games when it goes before him in court and Janine and Sunny will be re-united again.

“My daughter is not looking for anything outlandish she just wants to restore her custody rights with her daughter.

“Jesse knows he can use Sunny to try and win over Sandra Bullock but she would be a total fool to take him back again now.”

Lindemulder is set to head back to court later this month to try and restore her 50-50 custody rights over Sunny.

Ironically, before the sex scandal involving James and the stripper Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee exploded, both Bullock and her husband had joined forces in the custody battle for Sunny.

The pair contended that Lindemulder was an unfit mom and that she was exposing Sunny to "unsavory characters".
