Broadway performer Pia Zadora is being sued by an angry ex-husband- and RadarOnline.com has obtained the explosive court papers explaining why in
the most heartbreaking detail.
Jonathan Kaufer- who married the former Hollywood starlet in 1995- is accusing Zadora of slandering him by making repeated and false statements about their son, who suffers from multiple development and psychological problems.
The writer-director has filed an explosive 37-page writ in the Los Angeles Superior Court in which he alleges Zadora made “numerous false, outrageous and defamatory reports about Kaufer to various individuals and public agencies” including the Department of Child and Family Services, therapists and medical professionals.
It all centers around allegations of sexual assault, Kauffer claims, that Zadora made during an ugly custody battle over their son.
He alleges the 56-year-old actress told people he “sexually abused his son, including fondling his son’s penis” and forced his son to “fondle his father’s penis” and exposed “his penis to son and urinated and ejaculated on son’s head and face.”
Zadora also allegedly once said her ex-husband “anally penetrated his own son” and falsely told a Department of Children and Family Services social worker that he had illegal “snuff porn” and “child pornography” on his computer.
Kaufer divorced Zadora in 2001.
In 2008, according to the court filing, the Department of Child and Family Services determined the allegations were unfounded after an investigation.
In the documents, Kaufer insists these statements were “false” and “Zadora knew them to be false.”
He claims she made them because she “intended to harm Kaufer in his body, mind and reputation and subsequently resulted in the opening of an investigation into custody” of their son.
Kaufer is suing for defamation, invasion of privacy, international infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, making false reports of child abuse and harassment.
Zadora, who came into millions with her marriage to Israeli businessman Meshulam Riklis, recently put her $10 million Pacific Palisades compound on the market.
Kauffman says, as a result of Zadora’s statements, he has suffered injury to his personal, business and professional reputation including, among other things, suffering embarrassment, humiliation and severe emotional distress.
He is seeking unspecified damages.
