EXCLUSIVE: Charlie Sheen Should Serve More Time, Says Wife's Pal
June 3 2010, Published 3:14 p.m. ET
Charlie Sheen should serve more time behind bars, according to a close friend of his wife Brooke Mueller. RadarOnline.com has learned that while Charlie made a deal with the District Attorney to spend 30 days in jail he could spend only 17 day in jail, with various factors allowing him to shorten his sentence.
“That doesn’t seem enough considering the charges.” said our source.
Sheen is accused of attacking Mueller on Christmas and holding a knife to her throat. He will enter a ‘no contest/guilty’ plea on Monday to a single misdemeanor charge in exchange for the felony charge against him being dropped.
“If nothing else comes of this, at least he will be sober and off drugs for the duration of his jail time,” Brooke pal told RadarOnline.com.

If the star is jailed it is likely he will be housed at Pitkin County Jail in Colorado which is regarded as one of the cushiest jails in America.
The facility is decked out with plants, spacious living areas, a gym, plus televisions and other amenities. Amazingly, when not locked in their cells, inmates are allowed to mingle with the opposite sex in shared living areas – something that would no doubt appeal to Sheen.
“I just hope that this is a wake up call to him. He needs to be nice to Brooke and treat her with the respect she deserves,” the source said. “
If both people take part in getting the help they need I can see a bright future for all involved.”
Sheen will be required to appear at the Aspen courthouse on June 7 to enter the plea. He could potentially begin serving his jail sentence the same day the plea is entered.
