In a special Mother's Day episode of 19 Kids and Counting, the littlest Duggar Josie finally left the hospital four months after her premature birth and the entire family celebrated her homecoming. Unfortunately, by the end of the episode, we learned that little Josie had to be readmitted only days after her release.

Josie had been in the hospital since her premature birth in December, but had finally grown enough and become strong enough to leave the hospital and go to the family's temporary home in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Michelle was having a gall bladder attack, but because of her pregnancy couldn't have surgery and then she suffered from preeclampsia. In a dramatic scene, she was shown being airlifted to the hospital and the doctors delivered Josie via c-section. Jim Bob was in the delivery room when their little girl was born talking Michelle through the delivery.

Jedidiah spoke about his fear for Michelle. "I was worried about my Mom and Josie. We didn't know if Josie was going to live or if she was going to die that day."

"For all us kids it was a little bit concerning," said Jill.

During the delivery Michelle was awake and afterward she said "it was scary seeing her for the fist time, she was so tiny and I knew that she really wasn't supposed to be born yet."

Josie's struggles and milestones were shown in the episode, including the fist time Michelle held her as well as her failing the car seat test. In order to be released from the hospital Josie had to stay in the car seat for three and a half hours keeping her heart rate and oxygen level over a certain level, which she finally did and was able to leave the hospital.

Michelle cried as she said goodbye to the hospital staff. "This has been one of the most difficult things that we've ever walked through in our lives, we have met some of the most wonderful people and that's you all in this room. We're so thankful for the friendships that we've made through this challenging times.

"When you go through tough times that is when you will really, you can do one of two things, you can turn your heart away from God or you can turn your heart to the Lord. We have been so grateful for the 21 weeks with Josie and we celebrate every week that we get to have with her. We don’t take that for granted, not one bit. It makes us appreciate more the value of a life."
