As little Josie Duggar continues to get bigger while she’s back in the hospital, RadarOnline.com spoke exclusively with her parents, Michelle and Jim Bob, who gave the good news that she is almost up to six pounds.

“She is up to 5 pounds 15 ounces,” Michelle reported about her littlest daughter.  “She’s just taken off with her weight gain these last couple weeks now that she’s back at the hospital and so we’re are really thankful for that.

“Miss Josie is amazing,” her proud mother exclaimed.  “She’s usually smiling and cooing and looking at you and looking around. It is so sweet and she has the cutest dimples, one really huge one in her left check.  Jackson, her big brother who is five, said that’s my buddy because she has a dimple like me.”

When their 19th child was born four months early and was  force to remain in the  hospital  for an extended period , Michelle said that drew the family closer to God.  “We had no where else to turn. There was nothing else I could do to help Josie other than prayer.  I could cry out to God and cry out for mercy. Nothing is by accident and he allowed Josie to be born that day and we know that God has a special purpose for Josie.”

“It is a miracle,” Michelle proclaimed.  “We are so thankful for each one of these children.  Just the fact that she survived is a miracle.  We’ve grown stronger as a family.”

And will their family get any bigger?  Michelle told RadarOnline.com exclusively that is definitely a possibility.  “We would love more!”  Michelle reasoned “I’m 43 almost 44 this September, I know that my mommy years are probably numbered and I don’t know how many more children God will see fit to give me.”

The Duggars have even been considering expanding their family through adoption. Jim Bob told RadarOnline.com that they were inspired by a family they knew that had 9 children and one with spinal bifida who  then  adopted 5 children with special needs.

Michelle said it was something the family discussed.  “They inspired us and it is something we’ve been praying about because we do love children. Each child really is a gift and that just doesn’t mean just our children.  We asked the Lord to give us a love of children the way he loves children.  That is something that we’ve prayed about and we’ll just see what the Lord has in store for our family in the future.”
