A shocking revelation comes out of court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com surrounding the case of the Survivor producer and his murdered wife. Papers filed by Carla Burgos, the sister of Monica Beresford-Redman who was murdered last month in Cancun, Mexico, state that Monica’s in-laws don’t want her children to go to their mother’s memorial service.
Carla is fighting to let the children attend the service.

David and Juanita Beresford-Redman have temporary custody of Monica’s children—3-year-old Alec and 5-year-old Camila---but now that their dad is back in town, Bruce is trying to regain custody. He is the primary suspect in the murder of his wife.
But Carla is now battling to have the children remain in the custody of Bruce’s parents – because she doesn’t want Bruce to get the kids. It’s an awkward situation because previously Carla fought for custody AGAINST Bruce’s parents.
Explosive Emails Between Bruce, His Mistress And His Wife
The documents state “If the guardianship is terminated and Bruce gains custody before it is know whether an arrest will be made, the Court will have no jurisdiction to prevent Bruce from fleeing with the children.”

Bruce’s parents filed court papers to modify visitation so that they would have custody Sunday and that would enable them to keep the children away from the memorial. Carla, who is Camila’s godmother, is challenging that.
The court document states “David and Juanita’s additional request for an order modifying visitation this weekend to prevent the children from attending their mother’s memorial service is similarly without basis and is contrary to the best interests of the children, who should be given an opportunity to join friends and family in celebrating their mother’s life.”
In a declaration from Bruce, he states that the children’s therapist actually advised him to keep the kids away from Sunday’s memorial. He states “It is not that I do not want Camila and Alec to honor their mother’s memory. Rather, it is that I agree with Ms. (Cathleen) Carlson’s (therapist) opinion set forth in her Declaration that, psychologically, it would be healthier for the children to participate in a small, quiet and private memorial for their mother that is more tailored to their needs, as opposed to a large public service that will likely attract media attention.”
Meanwhile Bruce’s parents have filed to end their custody of the children, so that Bruce can get his kids back.
