Simon Monjack Buried Next To Brittany Murphy

Simon Monjack has been buried next to late wife Brittany Murphy — but not before a final musical performance together.
About 75 friends and family members were in attendance as Monjack, who died Sunday, was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles on Thursday.

“It was Simon's wish to be laid to rest next to her," said family spokesman Roger Neal.
It was a private orthodox Jewish service and took place at the same memorial church where Murphy was eulogized in December after her sudden death.
A rendition of Murphy singing a rendition of “Smile,” accompanied by Simon on the piano, was played to mourners.

A photo of the couple also sat on Monjack’s casket.

"Sharon (Brittany’s mother) was very strong and spoke and about how much she loved Simon, and how now Simon and Brittany are together,” added Neal.
"She told them, 'I'll miss you my babies.' "

"She is feeling devastated by the loss of a daughter and a son-in-law in the space of six months."
Monjack died in the house he once shared with Murphy and her mother Sharon, who called 911 after finding him unconscious Sunday night.
The preliminary cause of death for Monjack has been listed as natural causes, however, the Los Angeles Coroner’s office is conducting an autopsy.
