The witty banter on ABC's hit TV show Modern Family isn't limited to only the grown ups -- the kids are a riot too, and RadarOnline.com went to find out what they're really like behind-the-scenes.
The life of child actors can be hectic, working on set and being tutored or home schooled, and Rico Rodriguez, the ham of the show who plays Manny, exclusively told RadarOnline.com's special "Kid Correspondent", 12-year-old Ava, what he misses about regular school. "The school lunches are really good!" He then jokingly add, "I miss hanging out with my friends and having recess!"
Along with his co-stars Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould, the three are spending Wednesday afternoon on a Radio Disney Take Over with Ernie D, and talked about their cool jobs on the show and told RadarOnline.com what is fun about being on set.
"I get to do a lot of crazy stuff," Nolan admitted.
Ariel Winter said she likes sports like any other kid. "I like wrestling and soccer." Behind the scenes Ariel's mom revealed to RadarOnline.com that her dad named her after the red-haired beauty in The Little Mermaid.

The kids definitely know the adult cast well. Ariel can do a spot-on imitation of Sophia Vergara's accent, and Rico pointed out that Sophia spends all her time Tweeting on set! The kids are part of the quirky, snarky yet touching show that is a fan favorite and hysterically defines a true modern family.
Tune in to listen to the Modern Family kids Take Over With Ernie D on Radio Disney on Wednesday, May 19th at 3pm PST and 6pm EST.
The season finale Modern Family airs on ABC Wednesday, May 19, at 9pm/8c.
