An optimistic Tiger Wood rented a house near the US Masters course in Augusta, Georgia, for wife Elin and their two children but it has remained empty all week.
"Tiger rented this house right next to the one he's in and had it all set up with staff, toys, food, everything - he really wanted to see his kids during
his down-time," revealed a source close to Elin.
But Elin refused, according to the confidant.
"She's not willing to drag the kids back and forth so he can get a quick paternal hit out of seeing them," the source added.
With Tiger in contention going into Sunday's final round, it is clear that Elin is steadfast in her decision not to attend the tournament, even if her philandering husband was to achieve a stunning victory.
As RadarOnline.com has reported, the couple's marriage has been getting worse, after a brief period where they appeared to be growing closer.
Elin has not moved back in with Tiger and has a one-year lease on a house about a mile away from the family home.
