Katie Holmes will portray Jackie Kennedy in an eight-hour mini-series based on the Kennedys that will air on the History channel.

This will be the network’s first scripted miniseries. Greg Kinnear will play President John F. Kennedy and Barry Pepper will portray Attorney General Robert Kennedy.

Tom Wilkinson will portray JFK’s father, the ballsy political powerhouse Ambassador Joe Kennedy, Sr.
