Katie Holmes To Play Jackie Kennedy

Katie Holmes will portray Jackie Kennedy in an eight-hour mini-series based on the Kennedys that will air on the History channel.
This will be the network’s first scripted miniseries. Greg Kinnear will play President John F. Kennedy and Barry Pepper will portray Attorney General Robert Kennedy.
Tom Wilkinson will portray JFK’s father, the ballsy political powerhouse Ambassador Joe Kennedy, Sr.
The lure of the Kennedys and their Camelot existence continues to intrigue audiences 40 years later.

And it’s just been announced that British actress Rachel Weisz recently signed on to play Jackie in an upcoming film simply called Jackie.
The History channel miniseries was announced on Wednesday and will premiere in 2011.
