You know things are bad when your own attorney is shaking his head.  Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have failed to show up in court in Santa Barbara for a second day in a row.

Quaids’ Court Drama Continues, Lawyer Begs Them To Show Up

The wacky couple continue to baffle their lawyers, the judges and everyone else who comes in contact with them. They face felony charges of defrauding an innkeeper. Their legal troubles stem from a stay at the five-star San Ysidro Ranch last June, where the couple racked up a bill of $10,000 and allegedly bolted.

Judge Issues Warrant Without Bail For Evi and Randy Quaid

The Brokeback Mountain star and his wife were supposed to appear in court on Monday, but they were a no-show. Evi called her attorney apologizing for the mix-up saying she misunderstood the time of the hearing. Their attorney, Robert Sanger, promised they would definitely be in court on Tuesday instead. When they were nowhere in sight, an embarrassed Sanger called them-- and he was told they were an hour away.

They never showed up.

Judge Frank J. Ochoa, obviously fed up, has issued a bench warrant for their arrest.

So the next time they appear in court, they may be in handcuffs.
