Randy and Evi Quaid continue to confound judges and lawyers as they stumble their way through the legal system.

Facing charges of defrauding an innkeeper, the Quaids didn't show for their scheduled court date Monday but their lawyer promised they would be in court Tuesday. But as of 9 am, RadarOnline.com was in court but the Quaids were once again missing!

By 10:15 am PDT Sanger told Judge Frank J. Ochoa: "They're not here yet. I'm just the lawyer. I talked to them. They said they're about an hour away. They were in Sacramento yesterday.”

Sanger appeared to be VERY uncomfortable.

FYI, DA Arnis Tolks didn't even stay for this. He went back to his office. Sanger appeared embarrassed and meek.
