Controversial artist Tyler Shields is defending both Lindsay Lohan and their edgy blood splattered gun totting photo shoot, RadarOnline.com has learned.
As friends and family beg that the Mean Girls star to enter rehab ASAP Shields claims that the actress was sober and ‘on-point’ throughout their five hours Hollywood photo shoot which actually happened on Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. He says the shoot ended at about three in the morning. “I always shoot late at night,’ he told RadarOnline.com.
The shocking photos show Lindsay wearing bright red lipstick, sky high heels, a see-through bra, underwear and black sheer stockings. In some photos exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com, she is holding a gun to her mouth. In others, she has fake blood on her hands and is lying against fake blood splattered on the wall and floor.
Shields along with Star Trek star Zachary Quinto are filming documentary style footage to chronicle the making of his upcoming book The Dirty Side Of Glamor in which Lohan will appear alongside the likes of Ashley Greene, Hayden Panettiere, Kellan Lutz and Quinto.
Shields told RadarOnline.com: “Lindsay actually approached me to do the shoot because she is a fan of my work.
“It took place at my house and we discussed the concept together which is to show the flip side of fame through my book The Dirty Side Of Hollywood.
“I don’t do drugs or alcohol and Lindsay was not loaded or anything like that – she looks great in the pictures and she was really pleased with the end results.
“She was totally professional throughout and although we are not close friends I feel for her having to live her life in the spotlight all the time – I think that’s why she wanted to do the photographs actually.
“Most of the time we talked about art and she was ‘very present’ throughout our shoot and saw it as an ‘artistic adventure’ for both of us.
“Despite of everything your read and hear about her she was really easy to work with and very helpful and compliant too.
“Hopefully, we can work together again in the future and some unseen images of Lindsay will appear in The Dirty Side Of Glamour, which I hope to release later this year.”
This month has been especially turbulent for Lindsay, 23, who's been engaged in a public war of words with her father Michael after he said he'd pursue conservatorship for the star, and tried to remove her 16-year-old sister Ali from her care.
At the same time, celebrity DJ, Samantha Ronson, has been continuing her long run feud with her former girlfriend through a series of nasty Twitter posts.
And these controversial photos of Lindsay holding a gun will no doubt further stoke the debate about Lohan’s current mental and physical condition.
