The woman who was having an affair with the Survivor producer suspected in the murder of his wife is Joy Pierce, a casting director, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Pierce and former Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redman worked together on Crash Course, a USA network show, in 2009. They also worked together on The Contender in 2005.

Their affair ended just months ago, RadarOnline.com learned exclusively.

Pierce owns Joy Joy Casting, which took down its Web site, MySpace and Twitter recently. She also cancelled her LinkedIn account, shortly after RadarOnline.com contacted Pierce and asked her to comment on her link to the explosive case.

Sources close to the case said that Pierce and Beresford-Redman carried on a torrid affair for six months.

His wife Monica found out about the affair three months ago and confronted him. Her sister told RadarOnline.com that they went to marriage counseling.

“That’s why they went to Mexico -- because she decided she wanted to try and reconcile the marriage and she believed he was done with the other woman,” Carla Burgos, Monica’s sister told RadarOnline.com.

“He told her, ‘I love you, I want to be with you.’

“Monica really believed Bruce didn’t want to be with the other woman.”

Bruce was a producer on The Contender and Joy was the casting director. It was not immediately clear if they worked on other projects together as well.

She has also been a casting director for The Lazy Environmentalist, Crash Course and Most Popular.

Monica’s body was found days ago with scratches on the neck and signs of asphyxiation in Mexico.

Bruce was detained, labeled a suspect and told not to leave the country.

Monica’s body was found in a sewer at Cancun's Moon Palace resort, where the couple had been staying with their children.

Attorney general Francisco Alor later revealed that Monica's body had -- among other things -- scratches on the neck and signs of asphyxiation.

Monica was first reported missing Tuesday by her husband, who alleged that she had left the resort to go shopping and never came back.

RadarOnline.com broke the news that Bruce was having an affair and Monica found out about it.
