Randy and Evi Quaid failed to show up twice in a Santa Barbara court on Monday regarding their individual felony charges of defrauding an innkeeper and the judge issued a warrant without bail for the couple, RadarOnline.com has learned. Another hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.

Quaids Are A No-Show In Court, Case On Hold

Their attorney Robert Sanger said that Evi called to apologize for the couple's absence, saying she was at the Franchise Tax Board and had misunderstood the time of the hearing. Sanger had earlier requested a continuance until Monday afternoon after the couple had not shown up in the morning.

"They are not here. I was in contact with them all weekend, they are in Southern California, and they told me they would be here today. I don't know what happened," Sanger told the judge earlier in the day.

The couple had checked into the luxurious five-star hotel the San Ysidro Ranch on June 13, 2009. The next day the Quaids were notified by the hotel that their credit card was declined. For several days the Quaids told hotel management that they were waiting for a new credit card to be sent to them.
