"They are not here. I was in contact with them all weekend, they are in Southern California, and they told me they would be here today. I don't know what happened," the Quaids' lawyer Robert Sanger told the judge.

The case will be continued until later in the day in hopes their attorney will be able to track the couple down. District attorney Arnie Tolks told RadarOnline.com that if the couple does not show at all today, a warrant would most likely be issued for them.

The couple had checked into the luxurious five-star hotel the San Ysidro Ranch on June 13, 2009. The next day the Quaids were notified by the hotel that their credit card was declined. For several days the Quaids told hotel management that they were waiting for a new credit card to be sent to them.

On June 20, hotel employees noticed the actor had left without paying the bill. It totaled more than $10,000.
