WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: Everyone Is Joining Alice In Wonderland

Wow! Alice in Wonderland smashed records for any film opening in the first quarter of the year, and far exceeded studio expectations, RadarOnline.com has learned. And on Oscar weekend, no less! The Johnny Depp-Tim Burton fantasy took in an estimated $116.3 million, making it the 8th biggest three-day weekend opening in Hollywood history.
Second place went to Brooklyn's Finest, with $13.5 million. Shutter Island is still performing well. It took in another $13.3 million for third place. Cop Out collapsed. It took in $9.1 million to finish fourth. The amazing Avatar finished fifth with another $7.7 million in box office receipts.
