Hogan is wrestling his arch enemy Ric Flair live on Spike TV’s TNA iMPACT going head to head against the WWE’s Raw on the USA network.
But, the 56-year-old athlete who has a fake hip has daughter, Brooke Hogan, worried.
She told her dad “You promised me you wouldn’t do it... You said you wouldn’t get in the ring. You’re going back on your word.”
Hulk admits, “She’s right. I made a mistake and creatively I created a storyline where I didn’t realize that painting a guy red and yellow, giving him the rub from Hulk Hogan will create a scenario where people would start cheering for me.” So he admits he boxed himself in. “So, I have to wrestle.”

But Brooke is upset, “she always comes, but she’s like I can’t watch this . . . If something happens. You end up in a wheelchair; you get carried out in a stretcher. I can’t be a part of this.”
Hulk says she’s right, but “I don’t see things going that way.”

As for his son Nick, who is suffering from a wrestling injury himself; “he goes ‘Dad be careful, I know you know what you’re doing, but please be careful because anything could happen.”
But Hulk is most concerned about Brooke’s reaction: “I just got to get through it. Get out of the ring and say ‘I told you so. I wouldn’t get hurt.’ That’s what I got to do and then she’ll back off. But then I really got to not do this.”
The Hulk Hogan who enters the ring Monday Night, is a kinder-gentler Hulk.
Hulk says outside the ring he and Ric Flair are friendly but, Ric “has the belief that he made wrestling.--his technique, the technical aspects are the foundation of this business, which I agree with. But it also had to be complimented with the showbiz, the smoke and mirror the Hulk Hogan that had a little bit of technical, but more flash and charisma and Hollywood.”
Hulk’s return to the ring takes place live Monday Night at 9 p.m. on Spike.
