In an exclusive video interview with RadarOnline.com, A Double Shot At Love’s Rikki Mongeon opens up about the car accident that left her with a severe head injury and what it felt like to be in a coma. Twin sister Vikki Mongeon describes her reaction to the accident and her sister needing emergency surgery.

When asked what keeps Rikki motivated to make a full recovery the bubbly reality TV star got emotional and acknowledged that her life will never be the same. “Just having a normal life again. My normal is going to be different this time around,” she said.
“When I was in a coma I just had nightmares the entire time. In one of my nightmares I was having my skull sawed off and my brain was being taken out to be fed to cats,” Rikki laughed. “When you’re in a coma or you know anybody that is in one, definitely go talk to them, but talk about really happy things. Or sing! All the songs that people sung to me I totally remember.”

Vikki jokes that she initially didn’t want the doctors to shave Rikki’s head for surgery because she needed her hair for a television show they were going to be filming. “My mom called and said, ‘Alright, they’re going to shave her head and relieve the pressure from her brain’ and I was like, ‘We’re filming a show later this month, she needs to have hair!’”
“Yesterday when we went for her checkup the doctor actually said that she’s extremely special to have recovered as far as she has from the extent of the injuries that she has,” the twins’ mother told RadarOnline.com of Rikki. “It’s amazing. It’s remarkable.”
Rikki will be documenting her journey through this new phase in her life on her blog which will feature a diary and photographs of her head without the helmet on.
