Tom Cruise has signed on to star in the fourth installment of the Mission: Impossible movie franchise, reprising his role as Ethan Hunt in the action flick.

Cruise’s last film with Paramount studios was Mission: Impossible III after which the studio head Sumner Redstone fired him and publicly criticized his actions – his highly publicized and much ridiculed jumping on the couch professing his love of Katie Holmes on Oprah and his Scientology rants.
