Stars Turn Out For Oscar Luncheon

The much awaited 82nd Academy Awards are set to air on Sunday March 7th, and the excitement is building.
On Monday the Beverly Hilton Hotel played host to the The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Oscar Luncheon, and as in all things Oscar the cream of Hollywood turned up.
All the nominees were invited and it was a stellar turnout, with Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges, George Clooney, Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman, Jeremy Renner, Sandra Bullock, Carey Mulligan, Gabourey Sidibe and Meryl Streep amongst others rubbing shoulders at the landmark hotel.

121 Oscar hopefuls in total attended the low-key and intentionally democratic event - stars shared tables with sound mixers and feature directors were seated next to creators of short films.
The A-list actors, actresses, directors and crew shared a meal that included poached pear gorgonzola salad, marinated chicken breast and apple tarts.
