"This was a misunderstanding on one person's part," the 30 Rock star's rep said. "Alec was quickly released from the hospital, he's completely fine and is at work today."
The caller is thought to have been his daughter Ireland, 14, who got worried after finding Baldwin unresponsive.

Despite the rep's denial that the incident was not serious, it is inevitable that whispers and rumors of what really happened to the oft-embattled actor would circulate. A source close to the situation warns against feeding into the speculation. "There are wild rumors out there,' the source advised. "They are not true. There were no drugs. There was no alcohol."
Last year, the actor opened up about beating a drinking problem and about his crazy drug-fueled past in Christopher Kennedy Lawfords book Moments of Clarity.
Baldwin is slated to co-host the Oscars with his It's Complicated co-star Steve Martin on March 7.
