It was the voicemail heard 'round the world, Alec Baldwin's angry rant against his 11-year-old daughter Ireland, but now the 30 Rock star says he's still troubled by the release of his shocking tirade, even though it was more than two years ago!

The 51-year-old actor tells the July/August issue of Playboy (coming out Friday) when the phone message of him calling Ireland "a rude little pig" during his bitter divorce battle with Kim Basinger went public in April 2007, he had "very serious" suicidal thoughts and was definitely on the brink before getting help.

"I spoke to a lot of professionals, who helped me... If I committed suicide, (Kim Basinger's side) would have considered that a victory. Destroying me was their avowed goal."

The Emmy-winning actor also says he offered to quit his hit show.
