RadarOnline.com has learned that Rita Wilson, along with husband Tom Hanks and family friend Steven Spielberg, paid tribute to her recently-deceased father Allan Wilson in Los Angeles on February 17.

Tom Hanks Super-Sizes His Hollywood Lifestyle

Allan, a Bulgarian who changed the family's surname from "Ibrahimoff" to "Wilson" when they came to the United States, was the inspiration behind Hanks' role Viktor Navorksi in Spielberg's The Terminal. In the film, Hanks' Navorski is an Eastern European traveler who gets stuck at an airport for months due to a military coup in his native land.

"The service was held at St. Sophia Cathedral," the source said. "Tom spoke at the service. The family seemed like wonderful people." The cathedral is a Greek Orthodox church built in 1952.
