Burn Notice’s Jeffrey Donovan says his tough guy TV persona translates into real life, “No one has ever been silly enough or stupid enough to attack me,” RadarOnline.com has learned.
The 41 year old hunk is the cover model for the April Issue of Men’s Fitness.
“I can’t look like I just walked out of a gym,” Donovan says in the issue. “There’s a certain physical presence I need to have on my show. This isn’t something I’m doing as a hobby.”

The USA Network star says his martial arts training also helps him with the physical role. “The character had to be skilled in hand-to-hand combat, but we had to marry what would be flashy with what would really happen.”
But Jeffrey tells the magazine “Anyone can kick somebody in the solar plexus and knock them down. I’m trying to find peace in my life.”
And his secret to staying injury free? “When you get to 40, mistakes will really cost you. That’s why having a trainer is so important.”
