On the eve of the Grammy Awards, one of the major contenders for album of the year told RadarOnline.com why they’re skipping the event.
Wilco, nominated for Best American Album of the Year, insisted to RadarOnline.com at Friday's Music Cares Benefit that they’re not trying to break your heart, but their snub of the event is for strategic reasons.
"Every time we go we never win and when we don't go we win so that's our strategy we're sticking with it,” said the American Aquarium Drinkers. (Look it up, people!)

“We're gonna see if that holds true."
Wilco won a Grammy six years ago for Best Alternative Music Album for ‘A Ghost Is Born’.
One artist who plans on attending is Colbie Caillat.

The Malibu born stunner and Lucky singer told RadarOnline.com she'll be getting up super-early Sunday morning.
"I'm doing the big pre-telecast with Mic Fleetwood to present all the awards,” she said.
“So I'll have to be there at 11:30 for make-up and stuff. It will be really early and I'm going to try and get a jog in and let out some nerves."
