RadarOnline.com have learned that staff on ABC's Ugly Betty have just been informed that the show's current fourth season will be it's last.

In addition ABC have trimmed two shows from the season, making a total of 20 instead of the originally green lit 22.

There is a little good news for fans though, ABC have given the creative team enough time to work out a top notch series finale and finish on a high note.
Executive producer Silvio Horta and ABC president Steve McPherson confirmed the news in this joint statement: “We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion. We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.”
