Ellen Tweets About Paula’s Impersonation: “You’re Hilarious”

We already knew that Ellen DeGeneres has a great sense of humor –so it may not surprise you to hear her reaction to Paula Abdul’s impersonation of her on VH1’s Diva special Thursday night.

Ellen tweeted Friday morning:

“Paula- you’re hilarious. You’ve left me some big shoes to fill…unfortunately I don’t wear high heels. Nothing but love for you too. “

Paula Abdul Stunned At Being Replaced On American Idol

Abdul –who hosted the Diva special in her first major television appearance since leaving American Idol in a contract dispute -- introduced herself by saying, "I'm Paula Abdul — and this is not American Idol!”.

Abdul later  donned a short blonde wig and danced  down the aisles ala  Ellen and said:  "Why you all staring at me? Can't a girl try out a new job?. All kidding aside, nothing but love, Ellen. I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on the new gig! And you got to call me if you have any Simon Cowell problems, because I know him best."
