Paula Abdul, in her first major post-American Idol project VH1 Divas on Thursday, did her best impression of Ellen DeGeneres, her replacement on the top-rated show's judging panel.

"Why you all staring at me? Can't a girl try out a new job?" Abdul said, wearing a short blond wig and stationed on a talk show-style couch. "All kidding aside, nothing but love, Ellen. I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on the new gig! And you got to call me if you have any Simon Cowell problems, because I know him best."

Paula Abdul Stunned At Being Replaced On American Idol
Abdul -- who earlier introduced herself saying, "I'm Paula Abdul — and this is not 'American Idol!' -- also performed a medley of her 20-year-old hits from her Forever Your Girl album, including Straight Up, Cold Hearted and Opposites Attract.
