Madonna Visits Accident Victims In France

On the day she was to play for over 60,000 French fans, Madonna is instead paying respects to two of her stagehands that died Thursday in an equipment accident.

In the city of Marseilles, Madge arrived with flowers for those grieving, as well as her own two daughters--Lourdes and newly adopted Mercy James.

With manager Guy Oseary in tow, the pop queen is said to have visited other parties injured in the ordeal as well.

"My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news," Madonna said in a statement last week.

Her written words were later followed with an emotional tribute at her Friday concert, where she broke into tears and brought an entire stadium to silence.
