Katie Holmes Thinks She Can Dance

Katie Holmes is today taping a Broadway-style dance number for So You Think You Can Dance. The number is rumored to be part of the series 100th episode extravaganza airing July 8.
Katie was seen Monday morning at the CBS Studios lot where SYTYCD is produced and the set which normally welcomes media to its tapings, has hung a "Do Not Enter" sign for tonight.
The production number is said to be a mini-Broadway show, telling the story of a dancer who follows her dreams all the way to The Great White Way.
Executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe has been cagey about the involvement of Mrs. Tom Cruise. But on June 12 he did go as far as confirming a "meeting" with the actress and that it had gone "very well."
Katie has long wanted to be a song and dance actress. She was said to have been "devastated" when she was passed over for the leading role of Luisa Contini in the movie version of Nine. She lost out to Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard for that part. The film, which also stars Penelope Cruz and Kate Hudson, will be released November 25.
