Bad-boy rapper Eminem has revealed how he kicked drugs after Sir Elton John became his celebrity counselor.

The Detroit based star reportedly had become addicted to prescription medicine, booze and methadone, before the colorful British music legend stepped-in and helped to save his life from spiraling out of control.

Eminem told the UK Sun newspaper: “I talk to Elton a lot. We became friends, and I talk to him about things, career-wise.  He had substance abuse problem in the past. So when I wanted to get sober,  I called him because he’s somebody in the business who can relate to the lifestyle and how hectic things can be.   So I told him, ‘Look, I’m going through a problem, and I need your advice. Other stars to have benefited from Sir Elton ‘The Drugs Counselor’ include actor Robert Downey Jr, pop star Robbie Williams, supermodel Kate Moss and her former musician boyfriend Pete Doherty.
