No one expected Susan Boyle to walk away empty handed on Saturday's telecast of Britain's Got Talent, where the Scottish finalist was a worldwide favorite to win.
After the UK voted dance troupe Diversity as its top act, Boyle was a good sport and optimistic about the future.
"They're very entertaining," Boyle said of Diversity, doing a spirited jig and even flashing a little leg, "Lads, I wish you the best."
Even callous Simon Cowell showed disbelief in the fumble, admitting he was "gutted."
"She was incredibly gracious. I think Susan has come out of this very well. The idea of Susan being second is astonishing. But she's won over a lot of fans tonight, not just through her singing ability, but through her graciousness," Cowell continued.
"She's got a massive future ahead of her."
Speaking of which, Boyle has a wish or two moving forward.

"I hope to get an album out, who knows? I'll just play it by ear. My journey has been unbelievable, very humbling," she said.
No kidding. Her final words on the program were of thanks for the audience.
