Jim McAllister, the father of the woman engaged to marry the man now known as the "Craigslist Killer" issued a statement Thursday saying his daughter Megan is still standing behind Philip Markoff.

Standing in front of his home in Little Silver, New Jersey, Jim McCallister told RadarOnlne.com and a handful of reporters: "She's still confident in Phil. Other than that we're saying a lot of prayers."

When asked by a reporter if his daughter was aware of the mounting evidence police have against Markoff,. McAllister would only say: "How can you not?"

When asked by a reporter how Megan is doing, her dad said: "She's not well."

He added: "A lot of family and friends are here helping."

Dad further said: "She (Megan) had no idea about any of this" regarding Markoff's troubles with the law.

Megan, 23, remains holed up with her family inside the house since she returned from Boston when she was with Markoff when police arrested him.
