SocialiteRank Shuttered but Not Forgotten!

Download Flash Player var wb = new FlashObject("http://www.radaronline.com/hijinks/polls/rdr_poll.swf?id=59", "poll", "161", "250", "8", "ffffff"); wb.write("rdr_sidebar_poll"); Here we were on the edge of exposing the mystery blogger behind SocialiteRank this morning, and then the site goes and announces its closure. Maybe it was the chilling breeze creeping down Park Avenue as we zeroed in on the site's secret mastermind. SR explains: "We're not closing for any reasons that might include lawsuits, complaints or threats. In fact, not once did we receive any sort of legal or angry outreach in our mailboxes. Our decision was certainly much more calculated." As for the mystery creator of the site, the anonymous post states: "The team consisted of three full-time writers, one designer and seven contributors (who until this day are unaware of the original conceivers' identity)."
But you have an idea of who that conceiver is, don't you? You've narrowed down the likely culprits to fashion scribe Peter Davis and husky-haute scenester Derek Blasberg (Claire Bernard was the runner up). Now, on the day of the site's demise, we ask you to vote in one final sudden death round. On Friday, one of these men will answer to you. (Or at least hang up on us when we confront him with the results.)
