YouTube darling Logan Paul is getting slammed after he posted a shocking video he shot of a suicide victim in Japan.

The trouble for Paul, 22, started after he decided to edit and upload the disturbing footage he captured after he took a walk through Aokigahara, or what has become known as the "suicide forest" on account of it's macabre popularity as a place for people to kill themselves.

The video shows Paul and a group he's with stumbling upon the body of a person who had hung himself in the wooded area that lies in the shadow of Mount Fuji.

"This is a first for me. This literally probably just happened," Paul said after he discovered the body.

"Depression and mental illnesses is not a joke," he added while continuing to film. "We came here with the intent to focus on the haunted aspect of the forest. This just became very real."

Paul later joked with a laugh, "What, you never stand next to a dead guy?"

Backlash from the shocking video, which Paul later removed, included everyone from fans to former Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul.

"How dare you! You disgust me," the actor blasted. "I can't believe that so many young people look up to you. So sad. Hopefully this latest video woke them up. You are pure trash. Plain and simple. Suicide is not a joke. Go rot in hell."

"I didn't do it for views,'' Logan insisted in a statement. "I get views. I did it because I thought I could make a positive ripple on the internet, not cause a monsoon of negativity."

"I intended to raise awareness for suicide and suicide prevention and while I thought, 'if this video saves just ONE life, it'll be worth it,' I was misguided by shock and awe, as portrayed in the video."
